29/07/2013 – Timi won in just 63 minutes against the Ukrainian Ganna Poznikhirenko int he first round of the 75 000 USD Viccourt Cup.
The World No 103 Hungarian player’s next opponent will be the Polish Paula Kania.

Timi treated this tournament as a part of the hard court preparation, so in theprevious days she had exhaustive training sessions in Ukraine, and last week in Hungary. Of course, she was the clear favourite int he first round and she won easily with a few minor lurches.
At thebeginning of the opening set the 20-year-old Hungarian player broke the local teen (539th ranked) after 1:0, then suddenly lost her serve. However, Timi immediately broke again, then easily won the first set.
Int he second act Timi took her opponent’s serve after 1:1, then won her own serve from 0-40. After 4:2 she broke again the Ukrainian girl, and won the last game from 15-30.
Timi has no good memories of Paula Kania (210th), she lost 2:6, 6:7 in the second round of the Roland Garros quali. The 20-year-old Polish then in the third round of the quali lost 6:1, 6:2 against the Colombian Mariana Duque-Marino. Since the Paris Grand Slam tournament Kania was a quarter-finalist in Maribor (25 000 USD), Padua (25 000 USD) and Zlin (25 000 USD), and fell in the first quali round at Wimbledon. After that she winning the tournament in Torun ($ 25, 000), but after that she lost int he first round in Olomouc (100 000 USD) and Astana (100 000 USD). In Donetsk she was 1:4 down int he first set against the Belgian An-Sophie Mestach, but won 6:4, 6:4.
