The match lasted 62 minutes.
The 1st seeded pair won very smoothly the 22-minute first act. Timi and Chan broke twice, both time to 40. Thus, the team led 5:0.
The Japanese pair hold the sixth game to 15, but they did not even have a chance in the next receiver’s game.
A significant part of the second act was one-sided. Timi and Chan led with two breaks to 3:0, when the opponent was also a successful receiver’s team. Then the Hungarian-Taiwan double pulled out to a 5:1 lead and had a match point in the seventh game.
Hozumi and Namagita broke to 30 at 5:2, then won their serve to 15. Fortunately, Timi and Chan did not give any more chances, confidently bringing the last game, behind the serves.
The Hungarian-Taiwanese double’s opponent in the semifinal will be Nao Hibino (Japanese, WTA-doubles: 46th) and Oksana Kalashnikova (Georgian, WTA-doubles: 63rd).
