In the third game of the 34-minute first set, the World No58 Siniaková won the opponent’s serve to 30 and was sure to keep that lead. The Czech player brought her serves smoothly and, after 5:3, received a total of five set points as a receiver. Timi saved four chances, unfortunately she couldn’t defend the last one.
The second set started well for the Hungarian player. Timi won the third game from 40-30 as a receiver, leading 2:1. Unfortunately, Siniaková then lost only one ball as a receiver, and till 5:4 they were sure to bring their serve.
At that time, Timi led 40-15, but eventually lost the game and the match.
In doubles the Hungarian player is seeded second in the side of Kristina Mladenovic. Timi and her companion got Bye in Round 1 in Doha.
