The match lasted 1 hour and 47 minutes in Toronto.
In the 45-minute opening act the Hungarian-Estonian pair served and received very well, almost the whole time. After 1:1, Timi and her partner broke the opponent to 15, and hold the lead until 5:4. Dabrowski and Xu saved a total of 6 break points., they came back from 30-40 in the ninth game.
Then the Hungarian-Estonian pair lost their serve to 0, and soon came the tie-break. It was perfect for them: they won 4 serves and 3 receiving points.
At the beginning of the 52-minute second set both pair lost their serve, then Timi and Kontaveit led till 6:5. The Canadian-Chinese team won their serve from two match points, so came the second tie-break. This time Dabrowski and Xu played better, they led 6-4, and finshed the set with a break after 6-5.
The match tie-break was one-sided. Although Dabrowski and Xu lost the first service point, they served perfectly and broke the opponents four times.
