|Ashleigh Barty, Casey Dellacqua (Australian)-Tímea Babos, Andrea Hlaváčková (Hungarian, Czech, 3) 6:2, 6:3|
The match lasted 1 hour and 3 minutes in Eastbourne.
The semifinal consisted of two different sets, which had to be interrupted of the rain after the opening act.
In the 27-minute first, both pair won their own service game till 2:2. But after that the Australian team played much better. The fresh Roland Garros finalist broke the opponent twice, to 15 and to 40. In the eight game they won all four rallies.
The set was followed by a longer rain break.
After the “new” start, Timi and Hlaváčková played better, especially behind the serves. After 1:1 they saved a total of three break points.
In the sixth game, Timi and her partner won their serve to 40, then had a chance for a break. But Barty and Dellacqua finally won the seventh game and won their opponent’s serve after 40-15…This proved to be decisive because in the next game the Hungarian-Czech double won only a single rally as a receiver.
