20/06/2015 – The second seed Monica Niculescu won in two sets against Timi in the opening round of the qualies at the 731 000 USD Aegon International.

Unfortunately, this time Timi’s serves were gave advantage…In the 55-minute first set the Hungarian player broke her opponent three times, but it was not enough.
The recent Nottingham finalist Niculescu won her opponent’s serve four times, she came back from a break down. The Romanian player lost her advantage after 5:3, but she lived with her chances after 5:5.
The second set brought huge twists. Niculescu led 4:1 with two breaks. During that peried she saved a break point at 2:1. But the Hungarian youngster came back.
Timi broke twice her rival, and equalized to 5:5 But after that she couldn’t won a rally, so she had no chance to save the match.
