21/07/2015 – Last week’s Bucharest semifinalist Polona Hercog won in two sets against Timi in the opening round of the 250 000 USD WTA tournament in Austria.
The match lasted 76 minutes.

Unfortunately, the fate of the two sets decided – both times – at the beginning. Hercog jumped to a 4:0 in the first and second set, and she easily hold that lead.
In the first set Timi managed to came back to 4:3, but later she had no chance to equalize. In the second act she couldn’t make the life hard for the opponent…
The Hungarian youngster saved two match points, but Hercog managed to win the last game. She faced a break point also, but she hold it.
With this defeat Timi finished the first – longer – part of the 2015 season. She was a finalist in singles in Marrakech, and she won three WTA events in doubles (Dubai, Marrakech, Rome) with Kristina Mladenovic. They reached the semifinal at Wimbledon.
Timi played her second Grand Slam final at the All England Club, this time with Alexander Peya in Mixed Doubles.
After few days resting the Hungarian player will began her preparation for the North American hard court events in August. The highlight will be the US Open from August 31.
