28/04/2016 – At the beginning of the match Timi lost her service game twice, but after that, she was perfect behind the serves against Pauline Parmentier.

“Today my performance was not as good, as before. But, I fought as I could. And it helped Me, from the second set my tennis was better. I look forward for tomorrow’s match” – said Timi.
The match lasted 69 minutes.
It was a difficult start at the QF for Timi. She lost her service game twice at the beginning of the 32-minute opening act. Bt she immediately came back, and after 2:2, she controlled the match.
In the fifth game, Timi hold her service game to 40, then she broke Parmentier for the third time. And she strenghtened her lead to 5:2, she hold her serve to 15. The French player won her service game for the first time to 5:3, but Timi easily finished the set behind her own serves.
At the beginning of the second set, Timi saved two break points. It was important, because Parmentier fought for the turn-around. But this time, without success.
After 2:2, Timi broke her opponent to 15, and she practically finished the QF. She hold that lead, and at 5:3 she played bravely as a receiver. She had three match point, and Parmentier hit a double fault. It finished the quarter-final.
Timi’s next opponent will be the World No15 Tímea Bacsinszky. The Swiss player’s career best position was 10 (12 October 2015). So far, she has won 3 WTA and 12 ITF event in singles. Last year, she was a semifinalist at the clay court Grand Slam event, at the Roland Garros. This season, her best result was the semifinal at the Miami Open.
