24/03/2015 – Timi confidently won in two sets against Lucie Hradecka in the second qualifying round of the 5 381 235 USD WTA tournament in Miami.
The match lasted 68 minutes. So the 21-year old Hungarian player advanced to the main draw, where she will meet Nicole Vaidisova. In doubles Timi and Kristina Mladenovic will play against Kimiko Date-Krumm and Karolina Pliskova.

“I am happy that I could reached the main draw, after such a difficult draw for the qualifyingI played well balanced yesterday and today. I also served very well, which helped a lot. I’m waiting for the main draw”– Timi said happily.
In the second round of the qualies the 21-year old Hungarian player was the better, she gave no chance for the opponent. In the 29-minute opening set Timi broke her rival in the sixth game, then she closed the set with another break after 5:2.
The second set brought a bigger battle, at 2:2 the Hungarian youngster saved a break point. Then at 4:3 she won Hardecka’s service game, and after that she didn’t lost a rally in the last game.
Timi’s opponent in the first round will be the wild-cardist Nicole Vaidisova. The 25-year old Czech player is ranked 328th, her career best was 7th (14 May 2007). During her career, she has won six WTA and two ITF singles tournament. She was a semifinalist at Roland Garros in 2006, and at the Australian Open in 2007. Vaidisova not competed in nearly five years, returned last September.
In doubles Timi again start with Kristina Mladenovic: the first opponent will be Kimiko Date-Krumm and Karolina Pliskova. The Hungarian-French duo is seeded 7th in Miami.
