Belgrade: easy triumph in the quarter-final

19/06/2021 – Timi and Vera Zvonareva won in two sets, again.

The match lasted 1 hour and 10 minutes in Belgrade.


In the 27-minute first set the Hungarian-Russian pair won five game in a row, after 1:1. Timi and her partner broke the opponent twice, both times to 30. Then, they hold their serve to 40, at 5:1.


The second set was much more interesting, with full of twists. Timi and Vera Zvonareva led 2:0, then the opponent broke to 30. After 2:2, the second seeds won the opponent game to 40, then few minutes later came a long rain delay, at 4:2.


At the sequel, Timi and Vera Zvonareva easily hold the break advantage, so they reach the last four.


The Hungarian-Russian pair’s opponent in the semifinal will be Alexandra Krunic (Serbia, WTA-64) and Nina Stojanovic (Serbia, WTA-58).
