The match lasted 1 hour and 32 minutes in Melbourne.
In the 56-minute first set Bonaventure led till 2:2, when came a 2 breaks. Both player lost their serve in a big battle, to 40. After that, Bonaventure had the advantage, at 5:4, she had a set point as a receiver. Timi saved it with a winner, then came the tie-break. She fought and played very well, she lost no rally in that period.
In the second set, Timi led till 3:2, when she broke her opponent in a big battle. then, she hold her serve to 5:2.
Unfortunately, in the ninth game the Belgian player broke back after 30-15. But the answer came immediately. Timi received very well and she won the second match point after 15-40. So she advance to Round 2.
