The match lasted 1 hour and 8 minutes in Melbourne.
The Polish teenager started the 33-minute first set much better and quickly decided it. Świątek broke to 30 in the second game, and then, at 5:3, served almost perfect, barely losing a rally.

Unfortunately, the second act did not brought a change. Świątek pulled to 4:0, broke twice this time to 30. Timi then won her serve to 40, and came her only break chance. The Polish player defended her serve and her opponent won a game to 15.
In the end, in the last game, Świątek brought the own serve to 15 after 40-0, so she finished the match.
