AUSTRALIAN OPEN 2019 (GRAND SLAM TOURNAMENT, 60 500 000 AUD), SINGLES, ROUND 2
Sloane Stephens (USA, 5)-Tímea Babos (Hungarian) 6:3, 6:1

The match lasted 1 hour and 37 minutes in Melbourne, at the Rod Laver Arena.

“I feel this was a good match! It was a great fight. My opponent played very well and I had many good moments. Of course it is always possible to talk about tennis, but now the most important thing was attitude and mentality. And they were very positive at Me, too. This is what matters! If something had to be highlighted as a negative, it would be My receiver’s points at her second serves. I could have been better at that. But on the whole, I got pressure from Sloane, which is rarely. And not in the sense of the winners, but simply not making a mistake and moving very well, I had to win a point several times. I enjoyed the match, I did everything. I believe that if I play with this attitude, good tennis will come. So, I’ll do it! ” – Timi said.

The 2017 US Open Champ, Sloane Stephens won in two sets, but the match was much tighter, what the result shows.

At the beginning of the second set, the US-star broke her opponent to 30, and few minutes later, she led 2:0.
