AO 2018: Indian partner in mixed doubles

09/01/2018 – Rohan Bopanna was a champion last season at Roland Garros.


Timi will start in all three competitions this year at the Australian Open: she starts in singles, in women’s doubles (Co: Kristina Mladenovic) and also in mixed doubles. In the latter tournament, Rohan Bopanna will be the companion of the Hungarian player.


The Indian doubles specialist (born: 4 March, 1980), is 19th in the world rankings of ATP, with a career best position of 3rd (22 July, 2013). Bopanna has won 16 ATP events.


The experienced Indian player was finalist in 2010 at the US Open, with Aisam-ul-haq Qureshi (Pakinstan). In the 2012 and 2015 seasons he also entered the final of the season-ending ATP Finals.


Last year, Bopanna won the Roland Garros in mixed doubles with Gabriela Dabrowski of Canada.
