AUSTRALIAN OPEN (GRAND SLAM COMPETITION, HARD COURT), WOMEN’S SINGLES, QUALIFYING 1ST ROUND
Timea Babos (Hungarian)-Margalita Chakhnashvili (Georgian), 6:2, 6:1

Timi, who is ranked 141st in the first round of qualifying met the Georgian Margalita Chakhnashvili (180), and in the third game she broke her rival, but immediately lost the advantage. Despite this she won the next two games, led 4:2.

Shortly thereafter, “born” Timi’s first Grand Slam-set, while in the second set she rolled on, the end was 6:2, 6:1 for Timi.

The next opponent will be the French Irena Pavlovic, who was beaten by Timi twice last year, both times in addition on hard courts.

“The wind has caused the greatest concern for Timi in the game.” – Csaba Babos began. “The training facilities were not the best today, it was raining and we were able to hit only 20 minutes.”

Timi controlled the game, had many winners and deservedly won.
