16/08/2014 – Timi and Kristina Mladenovic won az eventful, three set-match against Kimiko Date-Krumm and Andrea Hlavackova.
The semifinal lasted one hour 18 minutes. Timi is the first Hungarian player in the final of the Cincinnati event. The 6th seed duo will meet Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears (USA) on Sunday.

“We win a very difficult match.We were able to play our best tennis in key moments” – Timi said happily after the semi-final.
In the first 39-minute first gave Timi and Mladenovic twice fought back from a break down, and after 2:2 they won three games in a row. But after 5:2 the much routine Japanese-Czech duo came back.
Date-Krumm and Hlavackova broke back, and at 5:4 they led 40-15. But then THE Hungarian-French duo won three rallies and they closed the first set.
The second set was one-sided, Timi and Mladenovic hold the service game only once, and they couldn’t broke the rival. So the Japanese-Czech pair won the 26-minute second act…
In the tie-break Date-Krumm led 3-1, and 4-3 with a break. But Timi and Mladenovic came back, and the final period came at 7-7. The sixth seed Hungarian-French double then broke the rival twice and they advanced to the final in Cincinnati.
Timi and Mladenovic will meet Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears on Sunday. The American pair won 7:5, 7:5 against Alla Kudryavtseva and Anastasia Rodionova in the semifinal.
Kops-Jones and Spears is ranked 5th in this year’s Doubles Race.
