Another doubles victory in Rabat

03/05/2017 – Timi and Andrea Hlaváčková lost a total of five games in the quarterfinal.

The match lasted for 1 hour and 7 minutes in Rabat.

 

The Brazilian-Argentine double struggled tough, sometimes surprised the opponent. But they had only a little chance at the beginning of the 36-minute opening act. Timi hold her first service game from 30-40, then the 1st seed pair lived with the opponent’s mistakes. The Hungarian-Czech pair broke the rival to 40 and 30, jumped to a 5:2 lead.

 

Then Hlaváčková lost her serve after 40-15, but the next game was the last in the first set. Timi and her partner broke the opponent to 15, the Hungarian youngster finished the set with a nice volley.

 

The second set was even simpler. Timi and her partner won the rival’s serve to 0, then to 40. Then they lost the control for a few minutes, so after 5:0 they led 5:2. After 5:2, Timi and Hlaváčková again found the focus, they broke the South Americans to 0, finishing the QF in Morocco.

 

The Hungarian-Czech double’s opponent will be Daria Gavrilova and Aleksandra Krunic in the semifinal.
