11/01/2017 – The Kisalföld daily newspaper was elected for the 37th time for the best athletes in the region.


After 2014  and 2015, Timi won the Award for The Best Female Athlete of Győr-Moson Sopron county.


The 23-year-old tennis player collected 16 points, she “defeated” the two time Olympic Champion Krisztina Fazekas-Zur (kayak, 13 points) and Csenge Szepesi (karate, 8 points) and Renáta Csay (kayak, 8 points).


Timi already celebrated a great success in the second week of the 2017 season. She reached the semifinal in doubles at the Apia International in Sydney.

… Last year, the 23-year old player celebrated historic results. She improved her career best in singles a total of six times, her CH was 25th position on 19/09/2016. Currently, she is ranked 28th.


Timi was a finalist in Florianopolis, played at the WTA Elite Trophy as well. She reached the semifinal in Shenzhen and Rabat, and the  quarter-final in St. Petersburg, Katowice and Cincinnati. Timi celebrated great victory against Eugenie Bouchard, Sara Errani, Karolina Pliskova, Sabine Lisicki, Kiki Bertens, Venus Williams, Belinda Bencic, Dominika Cibulkova, Irina-Camelia Begu and Kristina Mladenovic.

The Hungarian player was a finalist at Wimbledon in doubles again, this time with Yaroslava Shvedova. They were also at the final in Miami. Timi reached the final in Florianopolis, with Réka Jani.


Timi was the best junior athlete of the region in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
