02/02/2014 – Timi and Kristina Mladenovic lost in three sets against Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Kveta Peschke at the doubles final in Paris.
The last match of the 710 000 USD Open GDF Suez lasted 1 hour 38 minutes.

It was Timi’s 10th final at a WTA event, she celebrated eight times.
In the 50-minute first set, the more experienced opponent began better, after 1:1 they broke Mladenovic to 40. In the seventh game the French player again was in troubles, she saved a break point, although she had before a 40-0 lead…Fortunately, she finally managed to win this game and at 4:3 the Hungarian-French duo broke the rival, lived with the fourth opportunity.
Then each pair hold the next service games, so came the tie-break.
Timi and Kiki Mladenovic had three set points at 6-3, and another at 7-6. Groenefeld and Peschke saved all of them, but at 8-7 the Hungarian-French pair lived with the fifth chance!
In the 37-minute second set Timi and her partner pulled away 3:1, but after that they lost the rhytm. The rival won four games in a row, but at the 5:3 the Hungarian-French duo broke back. At 5:4 they had a chance for equalizing, but they lost the set…
At the beginning of the decisive tie-break Timi and Mladenovic led with minibreak several times, but this was not sufficient. The German-Czech duo won six rallies in a row after 4-5, so they won the Open GDF Suez.
