The match lasted 1 hour and 14 minutes.
With the exception of a few minutes, the World No87 Hungarian player controlled the match and gave her opponent no chance. At the start of the 39-minute first set, Bjorklund lost her serve to 0, while Timi (from 3 game points) lost to 40.
Then, after 2:2, the 26-year-old Hungarian player broke to 30 and kept that advantage. Timi won the ninth game as a receiver to 40, closing the opening act.
The second set was smoother. The Hungarian was excellent behind the serves, and was very dangerous as a receiver. Timi took Bjorklund’s serve to 30 after 2:1 and to 40 after 4:1. The last game was won by the Hungarian player to 30.
Timi had 5 aces during the match. The 26-year old Hungarian player announced a few days ago that she pays 100 USD by ace in donations to the victims of the Australian Fire, at at Adelaide and at the Australian Open. Coach Michael Joyce and physio Maciej Ryszczuk donate 25-25 USD after Timi’s return winners.

Timi’s next opponent will be the World No79 Viktoria Golubic. The Swiss player (born: 16 October, 1992) has a career best position of 51st (3 April, 2017). So far, she has won 1 WTA Tour, 1 WTA125s and 9 ITF events.
